Evidence & Knowledge Hub

Advancing Evidence-Based Policy for Home-Based Workers

The National Working Group on Home-Based Workers is committed to promoting evidence-based policymaking grounded in rigorous research, reliable data, and informed stakeholder engagement. The Evidence & Knowledge Hub serves as a comprehensive repository of research, policy analysis, publications, datasets, and resource materials that inform the development of the proposed Home-Based Workers Bill and contribute to broader policy discourse on home-based work in India.

The Hub brings together knowledge from academic research, government publications, labour statistics, international organisations, civil society initiatives, and field-based studies to strengthen understanding of the socio-economic realities, challenges, and contributions of home-based workers. By making credible information readily accessible, it seeks to support informed public dialogue, legislative reform, research, advocacy, and evidence-based decision-making.
